Making Morgan's Beds

I have been furry busy lately, cutting and sewing my little paws to the bones! It is my job to ensure that kittys have special beds, soft, warm and fun. They must be up to my standards - which means the humans must be happy with them too.

This bed is The Attack of the Monkeys - MOL!!!!!!!

This bed is called Quinn the Cootie Killer, fur my special friend Quinn.

It is fun to make different kinds of beds - I would like to know if you had you choice of a Morgan's Bed - what kind of fabric would you ask for?

Tails from the Pirate Ship

Meowlo my friends!

Things have been busy on the Pirate Ship. Daddy is still having treatments - but his PETScan had good mews. He can now eat REAL food again - and he is gaining weight.

Montoya is doing furry well, although he had another eye infection. Tia Leilani will be flying him to Aunt April furry soon. He will miss his doggy Guanina - but I know he will like his new kitty sisters.

Please be sure to visit the Auction for Tealc and His Furmily - it's been extended another week, and there is a furry special Morgan Bed there, also pawsome toys from Cat In the Clover and lots of cool stuff.

Meows is working on my spring line, and today I am helping to make nips - my favorite project! A Morgan's Bed is not the same without Morgan's Nip!

The Most Popular Bed

Mom made Gypsy & Amber a special Morgan's Bed after they fell in love with Baxter's Celtics Bed. Well don't you know it? Now it's the most popular bed in the house!

Gypsy and Amber testing their bed.

Now being Quality Control, I had to make sure it was up to MY standards!

Then Amigo had to test it out to see if it passed his inspections. He said it did.

Next up was my second in command Inspector Lakoda. He said with the blanket it was perfect

But he also went the extra mile and tested it with Gypsy, to be sure it fit a dog AND a cat!

Happily the bed passed ALL Inspections!

A furry happy day on Morgan's Pirate Ship!

In Memory of Mocha

Two years ago Mom got a call from a crazy lady. She had 4 rats and she found out she was furry allergic to them. Mom called the rescue, and they said they could take them if Mom could keep them fur a few days. So Mom told the crazy lady it was ok to bring them over, and she would get them foster homes.

The crazy lady instead showed up with 6 rats in 3 huge cages, along with 2 furry little mousies. Mom was in shock. Luckily the lady also brought a table, and food - cause there was nowhere else to put cages. One rat was a tiny baby who kept escaping his cage, and he was with a furry scared rat that would bite.

Such Fun!

Mom changed the ratties around and put the biting rat and baby into Sammy's big safe cage, and Sammy into another cage. It was raining rodents in this house! So many cages to check out! It was furry cool for us cats!

Two of the ratties were very pretty 6 month old girls with no names. They were furry sweet and furry gentle, and they liked me! I would pop them in the head and they would squeak at me! Seeing how much fun they were for me, Mom said I could keep them and we named them Mocha & Latte.

Mom was really happy when the rest left - especially the escaping mice! Out every morning when she opened the door.

Mom moved them into the catputer room so we could hang out together, and we became the best of buddys. I liked to sit on my couch next to their cages and chat with them.

Last spring Mocha grew a really big tumor and had to have surgery. I was was furry scared for her, but she came home and got better. We all celebrated.

A few months ago her tumor came back, and it grew slowly. The Vet said no more surgery could be done. ......sigh..... But she said she was not in pain, and as long as she could get around she was ok.

Sadly in the last few weeks Mocha's tumor grew really big, and she developed more of them. Mom and I had to make the choice to send her to the Rainbow Bridge on Friday. Mocha being the gentle loving soul - kissed the Vet and the Tech when she arrived.

This is the last picture taken of Mocha this week.

Mocha I will always keep you in my heart - you were a special friend I could tell my secrets too. You will be missed more than you know.

Meet My Hero - Skeezix the Cat

Meet my Hero - Skeezix the Cat.

From the time I was little, I loved to read the diary of a special Catster named Skeezix. He was so cool, he admited his Mom was a Ho - mine was too - he loved pink - I do too - and he always had the Coolest Outfits on the Planet. I am still working on my Pirate Wardrobe.

Skeezix's always has time to make people smile. He's always there to lend a shoulder in a dark hour, and to be a friend to all.

I am furry honored to show my Hero in a special gift sent with a whole lot of love - his very own special King Size PINK Morgan's Bed. I know he feels all the love I stuck inside, cause he hopped right in and made himself comfy during his visit to Dogster HQ.

He and his Mom also write the Catster Blog, and it is PAWSOME! They cover so many different storys we never miss a day of reading it! Check out these Skeezix Links for lots and lots of smiles. You will also see pawsome pictures of Skeezix at Dogster HQ on the couch with my Human Hero - Top Dog - Ted!

Hope you enjoy!!!!!!!

Busy Busy Busy

We have been busy, busy, busy here. Daddy's throat is still taking furry long to heal. He still has to have weekly endoscopys and they do not know for how long. Cancer is really EVIL EVIL, and so are the side effects of the treatments to kill it.

Mom has been trying furry hard to help Save A Sato with the new reorganization. But she is furry furry frustrated. She spends hours and hours doing things and she doesn't get anything done here. Hours and hours on the telephone - and they do not seem to appreciate anything that Mom and Aunt Tracey are doing for them. This makes me furry sad.

We have now introduced Pirate Points on the Etsy Store. Each Catster/Dogster purchase gets one Pirate Point. They can share those points with someone else, and when they get 22 points, they can purchase a bed for fifty cents plus shipping!

My Swabie (Mom) has created some new designs for the Etsy store. Please let us know if you like them, or anything you would like us to add to the store for the future. Our furry friend Calvin (Cat in the Clover http://thecatintheclover.blogspot.com/) gave Mom some ideas on a different version of his Mom's Beds. Our Mom's have fun sharing ideas - and we love Calvin furry much!

On another sad note we lost a furry special friend this week on Catster. (http://www.catster.com/cats/144863)

Miss Scooter has always been one of the kindest and gentlest ladies we know. She always gave fabulous advice to Apache on being a Lady, and was always there when ever one of us was not feeling well. She spent 20 years making her Mom and Dad smile with her gentle purrs, and our hearts go out to them.

When I look up in the sky and see the brightest shining star, I know that Miss Scootie looking over us. Bowing my head in Pirate Prayer on the loss of a furry special Lady.

Happy Mew Year!

Wishing all my Friends a Furry and Happy Mew Year!

.

What a year this has been! We lost many special and furry loved furmily and friends like Jesse James, Edie, Niggie, Bear and Picasso. The Rainbow Bridge has really become a place for many friends to spend their days together, and we cats still on Earth sure have a lot of special Angels looking out for us!

.

Daddy has been fighting cancer since August, and we hope with the Mew Year, he will finally begin to heal. The surgeon finally got to go all the way down his throat this week and check out his tummy. All is looking good - does a somersault in happiness - and hopefully within the next 2 weeks Daddy can begin to eat real food! I have volunteered to to be his taste tester - don't want him to eat any bad foods - MOL!!!!! Mom and Dad are finally starting to have real hope and see healing.

.

We made another miracle happen - by getting Scruffy & Alfi's Mom's to meet for the first time! It is so much fun reading the daily updates of the trip.

.

When my Mom says she can make a Dream Come True - she isn't kidding! We send love and Happy Mew Year Wishes to all of the amazing and wonderful Catster Mom's who helped Mom make this miracle wish come true. I send you all special Whisker Kisses.

.

Mom made my wishes come true by believing in me, and making me a strong and healthy little Gato. Then she said I would get new eyes and really begin to SEE - she made that happen too! I got my new eyes!

.

As you start the Mew Year - the word to remember is - BELIEVE - if you believe - anything is possible!

I am so excited and honored to have the GREAT and FAMOUS Skeezix the Cat showcase my Morgan's Beds on the Catster Blog! He even put in a link to my Rescue - Save A Sato, in San Juan.

Now we should be furry excited - and we are! But the human's sewing machine decided that it was gonna blow up just in time for Catmas & Dogmas! Can you imagine?

My Swabie was so upset and not sure what to do - when out of the Blue, she got a furry special Call from Santy Paws herself! Santy Paws called to tell the Swabie Meowry Catmas, and a special Catmas Gift was flying to her. Santy Paws was sending her a furry special magical sewing machine that would make even better and more special Morgan's Beds than ever!

The Swabie was so excited - it was snowing outside - it really looks like Catmas in Connecticut - and a special magical Santy Paws made her sooo happy she wanted to go dance in the Snow!

What has she done?

So the human decided to work with Save A Sato, and help them get the pups sent to the US for furever homes. I agreed to this - because thanks to Save A Sato, Gypsy, Amber and I have homes.

But now - the human has no time at all! She's doing SAS e-mails, taking care of Daddy, working full time and sewing my beds.

So what's a Pirate to do? Any thoughts appreciated.
